casual maternity ootd - 32 weeks

I might be 32 weeks pregnant with my second child, but I'm trying my best to stay in my regular/non maternity clothes. Sharing today a casual weekend outfit - bought this $14 Yexipo  waffle top from Amazon Fashion (because let's be honest all these Instagram influencers sharing their cute and cheap clothes from Amazon is getting to me. I want to know what all the hype is about! And what is with all these Amazon Fashion brand names?) Amazon Waffle Top in Apricot (size Large) ,  Old Navy Maternity Full Panel Jersey Leggings (size Medium) Ordered this waffle top in a size Large based on the reviews. Almost everyone said size up 1 to 2 sizes so I sized up to a Large to get this casual off the shoulder look.

co-sleeping with my newborn

Before you read any further please do make sure you do your own research and consult your physician to understand the dangers of co-sleeping with a baby especially a newborn. I'm only sharing my own situation and what I personally did. What works for me may not necessarily work for you. Use your own judgement and you know what's best for your child.

happy mother's day

Never thought I'll share this cheeks of my little milk monster - but she's too cute not to share. It's very hard to imagine that this holiday now also applies to me. Mother's Day was always for my mom, but now me too?? That just sounds so surreal. I might be taking care of this little milk monster 24/7 for the last 4 months but I sure feel more like a servant than a mom. 😂 Maybe one day when I start receiving her handwritten cards, it'll finally hit me. Somehow the word motherhood doesn't seem appropriate to describe my last 4 months. Pregnancy felt like a burden and the delivery process was just a pain (pun intended). Maybe one day I'll share my delivery/labor story.  When I think of motherhood I used to think of love and nurture, while I don't think I did any less than that, motherhood means a whole lot more and different. Breastfeeding, cleaning bottles, pumping, sleepless nights, tending to each of her whines and whimpers, and just plain worr...

pregnancy & postpartum skincare

This might sound a little vain (#firstworldproblems) but one of the scariest things about pregnancy for me was the no-going back body changes that occur. Not that I have a super model body but knowing that I will never see the belly that I've known for my lifetime after this 9 month period was disheartening. These were the skincare products I added for my pregnancy after some research. What works for you might not work for me, sadly none of these worked well for me, but maybe you'll be able to enjoy ( or save some $$$). Clarins Stretch Mark Minimizer $56  |  Bio-Oil $15  |  Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil $64 I've heard of Bio-Oil forever - to me it's always been known as the "maternity" oil. So I immediately ordered a bottle once my first trimester was coming to an end. Bio Oil is meant as a PREVENTIVE product - exactly what I was hoping for and they expect you to use it as soon as second trimester starts. I went through about 6 oz of this pr...

new blogging journey

Hello! Let me introduce myself, my name is Melissa and this is a new space where I want to share tidbits about me. I'm no newbie to blogging, I joined the whole blogosphere bubble way back in 2010.  But I feel like the blog has swayed away from what I wanted it to be. So here I am turning a new page. 2018 is a turning point for me. I gave birth to a very beautiful mini-me. 😂 The first 3 months of her life was also the first time that my life wasn't mine. Each hour of the day was dedicated to her: feeding, changing, soothing, playing... even my own sleep was to make sure I'll have enough energy to take care of her during the next session. And I don't think I'll want it any other way. Thank you for stopping by and Melissa-ing with me.
